Strategic Content Coordination Specialist

Duties:

The Strategic Content Coordination Specialist develops strategy for and oversees implementation of online public engagement through the Mission’s digital properties. Oversees the design and production of strategic digital content for distribution to Indonesian audience groups through social media and online programming. Supports the responsible Public Diplomacy Officer in developing the policies, procedures, and guidelines for Mission use of evolving digital technologies, strategic outreach, and crisis communications. Analyzes, understands, and reports on audience trends and demographics. Develops plans for audience research and program/campaign evaluation. Develops on-the-job training for Mission staff participating in online engagement. Serves as liaison for social media outreach coordination across the interagency. Builds and maintains contacts with Indonesian digital media companies, influencers, and policy makers.
This Mission is an OSM 5 post, a large Mission located in a country of major importance to the United States. Indonesia has the highest level of global influence of the vast majority of other countries around the world and its government is a principal player with which the United States interacts in all aspects of pressing multilateral issues.

Requirements:

All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a Public Trust – Background Investigation Certificate.
All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.
Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time 4 weeks/1 month upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Education Requirements:

A university degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Journalism, English, or local equivalent is required.

Experience:

This position requires at least four years of progressively responsible experience in a multilingual, multicultural, or multinational commercial or communications enterprise with public engagement, market research and analysis, and project management as significant components of the job. Experience must include designing and executing information/marketing/advocacy campaigns using multi-faceted (multilingual, multimedia) digital and traditional.
In addition to the above four years of experience, at least one year of supervisory experience is required.
